Coordenadoria Municipal de Turismo (Belémtur), esteve presente na projeção alusiva aos 187 anos da Revolta da Cabanagem, nesta sexta-feira (07/01).
No dia 06 de janeiro de 1835, se dava início a revolta ocorrida na antiga província do Grão-Pará (atualmente Pará, Amazonas, Amapá, Roraima e Rondônia), a população em geral desejava melhores condições de vida e maior participação na política regional. Estima-se que cerca de 30 a 40% da população de cem mil habitantes do Grão-Pará tenha morrido no conflito que teve seu fim somente em 1840.
The Municipal Tourism Coordination (Belémtur), was present at the allusive projection to the 187 years of the Cabanagem Revolution, this Friday (07/01).
On January 6, 1835, the revolution that took place in the former province of Grão-Pará (currently Pará, Amazonas, Amapá, Roraima and Rondônia) began, the population in general wanted better living conditions and greater participation in local politics. It is estimated that around 30 to 40% of the population of 100,000 inhabitants of Grão-Pará died in the conflict that ended only in 1840.
